Targeted drug delivery entail for selective and functional localization of pharmacologically active moiety at pre recognized (preselected) target in therapeutic concentration, while moderate its entrance to non-target normal cellular linings, thus reduce toxic effects and increase therapeutic index. Targeting of drugs to marked cells and tissues of the body without their becoming a part of systemic circulation is a tremendous novel idea.
